Changelog for 07 November 2026
Q
QueUpThis update is about making QueUp easier to use, on desktop and especially on your phone. Everything you can do with a song, a message or a person is now a right-click or long-press away, menus on mobile open as sheets with options big enough to tap, and you can finally reorder and swipe songs in your playlists and queues.
Added
- Right-click (or long-press on mobile) a song, a playlist in the sidebar, a chat message, or someone's username or profile picture to see everything you can do with it. This works in room chat, direct messages, the user list, and on the DJ in the now playing bar
- Right-click or long-press the now playing bar to updub, downdub or grab the song, join or leave the queue, open your queue or the room queue, and shuffle your queue. If you have permission, you can also skip the song and lock or unlock the queue from there
- "Add to Playlist" and "Grab" now open a searchable list of your playlists right inside the menu, including a "New playlist" option
- You can now manage someone's roles straight from their menu, ticking or unticking several roles without the menu closing
- You can now ban someone for a chosen length of time straight from their menu
- Long song titles in the mobile now playing bar now scroll back and forth so you can read the whole title
- In Room Settings, hover a member and click the + in their Roles to add or remove roles, with a search to find the one you want
- Right-click (or long-press on mobile) anyone in Room Settings' Members, Mutes or Bans list to see the same options as in chat, even if they aren't in the room right now
- You can now reorder songs on mobile. In a playlist, tap Edit order, drag songs by the handle on the right, then tap Save (or Cancel to undo your changes). In My Queue, and in the Room Queue if you're allowed to reorder it, drag a song by its handle and the new order saves straight away. The list scrolls as you drag towards the top or bottom
- On tablets and other touch screens, you can now press and hold a song or a role in Room Settings, then drag it to a new position
- The playlist sidebar has a new Show queues button that swaps your playlists for My Queue, the Room Queue and the room's History, so you can keep an eye on what's coming up without covering the player
- My Queue and the Room Queue now show the song that's playing above the songs up next, and the next song moves up into place when it starts
- New Labs section in Settings, where you can switch on features we're still testing before they reach everyone
- The lobby has a new Your rooms tab beside Busiest and Newest, showing how many rooms you own
- On mobile, swipe a song right in a playlist to add it to your queue, or swipe left in My Queue to remove it. If you're allowed to, swipe left on a song in the Room Queue to remove that DJ's song.
Changed
- On mobile, every menu now opens as a sheet from the bottom of the screen, with bigger options that are easier to tap. Options with more choices open within the same sheet with a back button, and you can swipe down or tap outside to close it
- On mobile, tapping the song in the now playing bar now opens your queue, replacing the separate My Queue button
- Menus have a refreshed look and now look and work the same everywhere, on desktop and mobile
- Room visibility, room source and verification level now show every option with a short explanation, instead of hiding them in a dropdown
- "Limit maximum DJs in the queue" is now an on/off switch
- Message sound and the SoundCloud import method are now a row of options you can tap between
- Sort menus and filters now clearly show which option is selected, including to screen readers
- Menus work better with a keyboard and screen readers, and icon-only menu buttons are now labelled for screen readers
- After hovering the room menu in the header, you're put back where you were typing once it closes
- The "Remove all roles" button in Room Settings' Members list has been removed. Roles are now managed one at a time from the + button or the member's menu
- Kick no longer shows for people who aren't in the room
- Room Settings' Members, Mutes and Bans lists now update straight away when you mute, ban, unban or change someone's roles from a menu
- On mobile, the ⋯ button on songs in My Queue and the Room Queue is now a drag handle. Press and hold a song to see its other options
- On mobile, songs in a playlist no longer show Add to Queue buttons. Swipe the song right instead, or find both options in its menu
- Long song titles on mobile now use the full width of the row before they're cut off
- Your own rooms no longer sit at the top of the lobby, so the rooms that are on right now come first. They're in the Your rooms tab instead, and your room cards say "Your room" where the host's name would be
- The playlist sidebar's minimise button is now to the left of its title
- On desktop, each tab in Settings now has an icon beside its name
Fixed
- Fixed success messages and status indicators that should be green, such as after signing in, donating or changing your account settings, showing without their colour
